If I use wordpress.com, will I be able to put up advertising on my blog?

Basically, i’ve been looking to create my own blog site so that I can put out my work. Once I increase traffic, I want to be able to put up advertising. Knowing the chances of actually making money through blogging, I am not deterred, so please help me out.

You should also expand your chances of getting more members by using social networks and services such as Twitter and Reddit. If you need any help, I can help you start up a blog for a certain fee. Wordpress.com does not allow you to advertise on your site. If you have your own website and use Wordpress software that you installed yourself, then you can.
