My wife plans to use the computer for internet and a lot of photo stuff (editing photos, uploading photos online, uploading photos on her blog, etc.). We’ll also be doing some work with videos (editing, etc).
Thanks.

if you have the option to go from a Core Duo to a Core 2 Duo, do so. the processor performance is a noted improvement for software, as well as battery life.

Yes if the motherboard will take it
Well if you plan to do a lot of video editing, then the improvements in the T6500 may be worth it. For regular use (including regular photo editing) there will be little overall improvement by upgrading (does it really matter that editing a pic takes 1 second more?). If the cost is not significant (less than $100), by all means go for the better processor – but otherwise, you can probably save yourself some money.
